Quackles and I spent like 2 or 3 hours pre-game trying to make an Eva fakeclaim work and we couldn't figure it out. From our point of view at the time, Eva and Hide were clean and safe. Vigs changed that for sure, though I didn't update my thinking for the thread and got myself into hot water D1 and then got forced to Eva fakeclaim. The Hal bit was risky, but the possibility to keep my fakeclaim alive AND out the real Eva/Hide seemed worth it (and more importantly, fun). I was fully expecting to get shot N1 because I only claimed since I was at -2. Any scum can reasonably fakeclaim there, I think, so the (in this instance correct) assumption about a BP/doc seemed off to me. Quackles picking Wind was a very good try. Wind's solo play was a very good try. Kudos to both my fellow magicians. Very challenging game for basically every role. Could've easily gone very very differently. Team Eva were hard MVPs, Iggy (dis)honourable mention for a successful town gambit, and Spork gets the "Mafia spirit of the game" award for that last-day Small Bombs button push. |

Well, that was silly of me. It made more sense that I saw Eva than that I saw Hideyoshi N3 for some reason purely because I guess it didn't really occur to me what Hideyoshi would be doing out and about, so I assumed that when I saw mycelia visiting my target that it was a play and both of them lied (and something weird happened to me). So I covered for them. Then N4 I saw a real killshot by Tsiet and got hella confused (but followed Tsiet's lead on because what the hell else was I gonna do?)
I don't regret the eventual outcome though. Last cultist gave up and town won. Awesome work by Tsiet and mycelia and everyone else. |

Thing is, the night I got recruited I had convinced myself that shark absolutely had to be mafia with Cube because his actions were just convenient with my very niche worldview, lol. Very stupid in hindsight and maybe I would've changed my mind a little sooner or been a little less aggro on him as town. And I felt like I was a bit lacking in players to push otherwise, since I didn't want to hyperfocus on Maugrim and Illu who I was reasonably certain were the opposing cult anyway. Shamefully, I have to admit I've had pretty dumb arguments like that before, along a similar line, as town, and usually with town. |
