This game was a variant of the Nailbiter, originally an open setup made by a previous member of the community, reconfigured into a closed setup:

- 1 3rd Party (Unstoppable Serial Killer)
- 4 Scum (Roleblocker, Ninja, Bulletproof Godfather/Janitor, Poisoner)
- 11 Town (Tracker, Cop, Doctor, Jailer, and 7 Versatile Backups)

Backups are told they are VT, and when a PR dies by Night Kill, inherit a role.

The changes I made to this setup was largely clarifying the limits of the Serial Killer - a Protection Effect (Doc, Bulletproof) stops the kill, but otherwise they cannot be Roleblocked. Additionally, instead of inheriting the same role, the VTs inherit a role with slightly less power.

- Jailer turns into Rolestopper (Stops actions from effecting the target, but does not roleblock the target)
- Cop turns into Vanilla Cop (Mostly useful to debunk lategame VT claims)
- Tracker turns into Motion Detector (Gets to have half a watch/half a track effect, but not know who did the visiting/who their target visited)
- Doctor turns into Bodyguard (Intercepts the kill instead of prevents it.)

I think, at the end of it, this setup was fairly balanced. Despite scum losing their Godfather on D1 and their Poisoner on D2, they managed to claw back to a narrow loss. The Nailbiter is a very knife's-edge setup, intentionally so - it made for a good finale.

I would sincerely like to thank binus especially for playing his goddamn heart out as scum. While Sal put in a decent effort, Pussy Quipped ghosted the game on N1 and pmom lurked out, and were it not for his intervention this game probably would have been a dud.

Ironically, you can make a very good case that if scum had not killed Toal then Toal gets to play kingmaker between town and scum on the day she dies. But that's the Nailbiter!

Speaking of, Toal being Sasaki Kojiro in an Arthurania setup is a full reference to Wandering Samurai Mafia , one of the first games I played, and itself also a Nailbiter variant. Godspeed, Max, whereever your future endeavors take you.

Yeah I really love those are the three that made it, and that Agravain was the last scum standing, it really kind of writes itself.
