A doctor who knows who the President is won't ever protect anyone else, so the sniper just has to survive long enough to find the one player that doesn't die and then shoot them in the daytime (or get lucky by killing/yeeting the doctor). Otherwise the best bet to completely frustrate the scum's ability to shoot the President is to toss the Mafia part and turbo people out at random (about 57% chance to get at least one scum that way, a not inconsiderable approximate 21.2% chance of winning that way, and this is with the 7 players 2 scum setup). |

Meen on Sept. 4, 2024, 4:59 p.m. | Probably one way to take inspiration from Assassin in the Palace without making it hazardous to play Mafia for town is to just have the king equivalent be a few power roles instead (which know each other, and which all of the other VT know as well). That replicates the guessing game for scum without it being fatal for town to make it too easy by way of saying too much with their reads and actions. |

I thought it was based on Two Rooms and a Boom , and I was really curious how the same level of WIFOM could be achieved without splitting threads/hostage swapping |

That game looks neat but you would definitely need to handle that like the soldiers games of yore with two threads that would change who was voting from day to day since scum is trying to get their killer to stay in the same room as the town president and not get traded out.
