I mean maybe it was me but if so it was an automatic mechanical thing not something I purposefully did
it's this!! the "town" roles were both passive eliminators each night phase, to account for the first night having zero chance of a wolf NK

however, the role performs AT MOST one kill per night, not one kill per town player. so if anshu AND marimo had both stayed in play for successive night phases, there would still be only 1 "FIXED DIRECTION" kill per night phase

why did the game continue after the wolves reached 'parity'?
the wolves found each other, but they have schemes & plans in excess of even my own genius and they're REALLY trying to be a fun "Final Boss" for town
i'm actually enjoying the woofs just capering about, but like, i guess i don't know if that's rude for everyone else or … ???
like, on a meta level, who am i to tell the woof team "how" they should play

parity is fake. In a more normal game, endgame happens because a win is inevitable and obvious

If there is a meaningful way for wolves to lose then there should be no endgame

 i agree with chowder here; the wolf team win condition is not explicitly "get the game state into a specific configuration of variables such that, for any single act of observation, the number of players remaining on the wolf team is mathematically identical to the total number of all remaining players NOT on the wolf team"

the wolf team win condition is "Win when the Wolf team cannot be removed from play, or when nothing can prevent this"

numerical parity of remaining players is potentially a satisfactory winning state when the only remaining non-wolf players are vanilla town roles; in this case town has no means of stopping the wolf team except via day phase voting, and numerical parity of factions ensures town can no longer win the contest on that basis

but in a game where town players may have powers in excess of "vanilla" the wolf team should be aware that their win condition is not explicitly numerical parity

yup! we actually had the game stitched up the moment i voted for DA on D3. grim and i agreed in wolfchat that doing the usual thing would be kinda boring, so since the game was basically won we decided to just fuck around instead

my dude, originally i had ambitions far in excess of my present material conditions

so like, at one point the five "survivor" roles WERE double roles!! i.e. during the day phase the survivors would have their alive body role cards, and then on the first night phase i would have swapped everyone's alive card for their spooky rainbow reaper card, but each player would potentially ONLY see their card change, so it'd be this weird unexplained thing

then the bigger picture would be that day phase quorum flips would ALWAYS reveal the player's "alive" role card and night phase kill flips would ALWAYS reveal the player's "reaper" role card

then life happened and obviously my rotting grey lump recalled some parts of what was intended, but my vastly constrained personal time produced what is essentially cut / incomplete content, in real time

because to be totally honest i often "design" these games as we play them together

 i think there was some intention for the reaper rainbow becoming the ender at some point too, like i was going to reward the final survivor player with some special role power when they became the reaper

that vague notion ultimately materialized into me inexplicably changing half the players' role card text & images, for no apparent gameplay purpose

but if one of those towns is a doc or jailer or bulletproof or 50/50 reversal of fortune or anything to make the win not guaranteed, the game is not over
